ISI acquired by Kaufman Financial Group

Generational Equity, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately-held, middle-market businesses, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, A. George, Inc., headquartered in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, by Kaufman Financial Group, Inc., headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The transaction closed on August 1, 2013. Founded in 1999 by Alan George, A. George, Inc. (dba ISI Insurance Services) is a professional service provider of premium insurance audit and loss control services. The company is a third party vendor hired by insurance carriers and self-insurance funds to perform premium insurance audit and loss control services primarily for Mid-Atlantic and East Coast-based policyholders, but its reach extends across the continental US encompassing three dozen states. Few premium insurance audit service providers in the US possess the depth of experience exhibited over the decades-long career that Alan, and his son, Michael, have devoted to the industry, as well as, the capability to produce such reliable and high-quality audit reports, while providing the outstanding client service that ISI Insurance Services is very proud of.

Managing Director, Doug Smith and Vice President, Michael Goss, led the Generational Equity deal team that advised ISI Insurance Services on the transaction. According to Michael Goss, "this transaction was the ideal situation in which a highly-strategic buyer was seeking an increased presence along the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast regions for its subsidiary, USReports. The terms of the transaction provide the George family with their desired ownership exit strategy, and also provide a leading role to both Alan and Michael George within US-Reports for years to come."
