We are pleased to announce the sale of our client, United Right-of-Way (URW), to Montage Partners. The acquisition closed April 10, 2020 and details were not disclosed.

Located in Phoenix, Arizona, URW was formed in 1994 and has since evolved from a local landscaping business to a national company providing complex vegetation and landscape management solutions to government agencies, solar energy operators, railroads, and industrial companies. 

With more than 40,000 acres serviced annually, URW provides herbicide management services to some of the largest utility-scale solar farms in the United States, where unwanted foliage can disrupt operations and create safety hazards.

Founded in 2004 and located in Scottsdale, Arizona, Montage Partners is a people-first private equity firm dedicated to helping established businesses reach transformative growth. Since inception, the firm has invested in 17 companies, which represent more than 1,175 employees and total over $275 million in combined revenue.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director of M&A – Western Region, Stephen Crisham, led by Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions, Cole Preston, with support from Vice President – Western Region, Bo Zhao, successfully closed the deal. Senior Managing Director Terry Stidham established the initial relationship with URW.
