Mr. Thomasson is Vice President, M&A at Generational. He works with clients to conduct a detailed analysis and prepare valuation and exit planning reports designed to illustrate industry and business performance, projections, and overall enterprise value. For this role, he brings 20+ years of experience in valuation, financial modelling and analysis, industry and economic research, analytics, and deal negotiation and structure.

Previously, Mr. Thomasson led a team of valuation analysts for the specialized services division of a top-8 accounting firm, where his work focused on buy-side transactions, valuations, and associated analysis. He is a serial entrepreneur, having founded a number of companies in emerging technologies which he led from inception through multiple funding rounds, and exit, building his M&A skillset the hard way. One of the companies he founded – Fathom Academy, is still in operation where first responders are trained in dangerous swift-water rescue in a one-of-its-kind $4M purpose-built facility. He brings a unique experience and skill set to his work at GE, where he re-engages his entrepreneurial spirit to the benefit of his clients. A life-long Texan, athlete and martial artist, Lance has a passion for family, football, smoking briskets, and playing with his dog Whiskey Danger.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Texas – Dallas, where he double majored in Biochemistry. He is currently active in post-grad work at MIT in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
