T.D. is the President of Generational Consulting Group, coaching leaders to develop and execute strategic growth plans that transform companies by leveraging his experience as a veteran President/CEO, finance executive, investor and board member with an extensive personal network.

During his career he has helped over 180 organizations – ranging from start-ups to $30B – develop a Strategic Growth Plan.

T.D. has been the President/CEO of six companies:

• Decker Transformation Advisors, a consulting firm helping companies dramatically improve.
• Shaped Wire, a $25M family-owned process manufacturer.
• Telemotive Industrial Controls, a $15M PE-owned electronics manufacturer.
• Aquascape, a $60M entrepreneur owned distributor.
• Acell Industries, a late-stage start-up with disruptive and innovative technology.
• Ritchie Capital Management, a $4B alternative investment fund in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, venture lending, distressed debt, real estate, energy, insurance, equities, bonds and options trading.

He was also the interim President/CEO of four companies:

• A $200M distributor of food, paper products and janitorial supplies.
• A $65M gift card printer.
• An ammunition company.
• An outsourcing telecommunication company.

He has M&A experience having helped sell seven businesses. He was an investor at a family office sourcing deals and overseeing a portfolio of service companies, a principal for an LBO firm formed to purchase and operate companies, an interim CFO for a $80M family-owned manufacturer and acting CFO for a $450M PE owned multi-national manufacturer.

Early in his career, he reported to the CEO of 13 organizations helping develop and execute strategic growth plans. He was the Marketing Manager for UTC’s fuel cell business and helped market Job Bank USA, a computerized resume database service. He helped plan Pete Dawkins’ run for U.S. Senate, the 1988 Republican National Convention, the 1988 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debates, and the 1991 Desert Storm Homecoming Celebration in Washington, D.C.

T.D. was active in Young Presidents’ Organization, has served on over 30 boards and is currently on the board of advisors for the Duke Feagin Leadership Program and New Harvest Global Ministries in Sierra Leone.

He served as an officer in the U.S. Army as a football coach at West Point and a helicopter pilot in the 82nd Airborne Division during Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada. He earned an MBA from Duke, a B.S. in engineering from West Point and was quarterback on the Army football team. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and has four grown children and four grandchildren.
