Generational Group Acquires Decker Transformation Advisors

Generational Group, a leading investment banking firm for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Decker Transformation Advisors. The transaction closed on November 19, 2020 and details were not disclosed.

Decker Transformation Advisors (DTA), founded in 2008, is dedicated to transforming mid-market companies by developing data-driven strategic growth plans, building high performing teams, and propelling execution to dramatically increase value.

DTA is an important addition to Generational and will substantially strengthen the offering and capabilities of the Generational Consulting Group (GCG). The acquisition of DTA complements Generational’s strategy to provide business owners with a full suite of value-added services throughout the business life cycle.

DTA was founded by T.D. Decker, who will be retained as President of GCG. Decker has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs, PE, Fortune 50 and family-owned companies. He has created and helped implement strategic growth plans for companies of all sizes, from small family-owned firms to large multi-national corporations.

Decker has been the President/CEO of a multitude of companies in a wide variety of industries. Decker is a highly accomplished C-Level executive, successfully leading businesses with revenues ranging from $500 million to $4 billion. In addition, Mr. Decker has extensive M&A experience, having helped numerous businesses in the selling process.
