Generational Group Advises Smith Equipment Solutions in its Sale to Brixey & Meyer Capital

Generational Group, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisory firm for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Smith Equipment Solutions, to Brixey & Meyer Capital (“BMC”). The acquisition closed on October 31, 2024.
Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Smith Equipment Solutions (“Smith”) is a second-generation family business specializing in the commercial equipment sector, with a primary focus on the automotive industry. The company sells, maintains and installs automotive service equipment, compressed air and fluid transfer systems for clients across various industries.
As a leading provider of industrial equipment, sales, service, and preventative maintenance, Smith supports automotive repair centers and dealerships throughout the Carolinas.
BMC is a private investment firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio that specializes in investments across the manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, and business services sectors. The Smith transaction represents BMC’s second investment into the automotive aftermarket equipment industry. Smith’s previous owners will retain an ownership stake alongside BMC.
