Generational Group Again Among the Leaders in 2021 Refinitiv M&A Rankings

For 12 consecutive years, Refinitiv has recognized the Dallas-based investment bank as a leader in the M&A industry. This year, Generational jumped to No. 2 for deals up to $1 billion for the first time.

We are pleased to share that Generational Group has once again been recognized as a leader in the M&A industry by Refinitiv, one of the world’s largest and most highly regarded providers of financial market data.

For an impressive 12th year in a row, Refinitiv’s league tables rank Generational Group No. 1 in transactions valued up to $25 million, and – for the 7th year – No. 2 in deals valued up to $100 million.

Generational also made the leap to the top of two new rankings, claiming the No. 2 spot for deals up to $500 million and $1 billion, after ranking No. 8 and No. 11 in those respective tables in 2020. Generational is the only privately held investment banking firm to be ranked in the Top 10 in these categories – a further testament to the firm’s blockbuster year across every segment of the market. Refinitiv, a LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) business, is one of the most trusted providers of M&A deal data and publishes annual comprehensive rankings of the most active investment firms in the field. With over 40,000 customers and 400,000 end-users across 190 countries, Refinitiv is powering participants across the global financial marketplace.

Rankings are based on data submitted by investment banks, M&A advisory firms, business brokers, and others. Refinitiv verifies the data and compiles it into its annual database.
