Happy Holidays from the Generational Group

From our family of employees to you, we wish you a joyous Holiday Season and a wonderful and prosperous New Year!
We hope that during this season you can take the time away from your hectic schedule and spend quality time with your friends and family. We also hope that each of us can take time to reflect upon the true meaning of the season and enjoy the hope of peace and love that it represents.
It is clear that the past year has seen quite a few momentous changes. Not only do we have a new administration in Washington, we also face an ever-changing geo-political environment.
As we gain new certainty regarding the direction our country will be heading, especially as it relates to tax and economic policies, we recommend that if you do get some time to reflect that you also do so in relation to the future plans for your business.
If you are like most business owners, the idea of exit planning and the creation of specific exit strategies and timing can be daunting. We often ask business owners that attend our seminars this question:
What kind of business owner are you?
There really are only two: Those that PLAN to sell their companies and those that HAVE to sell.
As with most major decisions in life, the folks that proactively plan to sell are usually far better off than those that are forced to sell when external circumstances force them to.
So we encourage you to spend some time at the end of this year to plan for 2017 and to especially consider when (and how) you want to eventually exit. We are here to help you in this process. We hold highly educational, complimentary exit planning workshops that are designed to help the business owners we invite to the meetings gain a significant body of knowledge about how to effectively exit via an M&A event.

We wish you a joyous and wondrous holiday season and a new year full of blessings, and we will be back at the beginning of the year with a new round of M&A musings.
