Brent Everett
Chief Investment Officer
As the Chief Investment Officer, Brent’s primary responsibilities include developing the firm’s investment philosophy and overseeing the prudent stewardship of the firm’s assets under management. Brent also chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and oversees portfolio construction and manager due diligence efforts. In addition, he serves as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer.
Prior to Generational Wealth Advisors, Brent’s background includes experience in strategic marketing, executive management, and investor relations in the semiconductor and equipment manufacturing industries. He was an owner and member of the board of directors for CSCI, a successful manufacturer of air-cooled heat exchangers for the natural gas industry and was instrumental in the management buyout of the company. In 1999, recognizing the inherent conflicts of interest in the commission-based sales model that dominated the industry, Brent founded a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor. He then developed an investment philosophy based on academic research that has endured and been embraced by many practitioners.
Brent holds a degree in Computing and Information Sciences from Oklahoma State University and completed all coursework for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation at NYU’s Stern School of Business. He is frequently interviewed by the news media and financial press on a variety of economic and market-related matters.
Brent lives in Plano with his wife, Kimberly. He has served as a member of the Business and Professional Leadership Committee of the Plano Symphony Orchestra and as the treasurer for his homeowner’s association. Brent enjoys reading, fly fishing, college sports, and Formula One racing.
