DiGiorgio Associates Acquired by The LiRo Group
The LiRo Group acquired Generational Equity client DiGiorgio Associates Inc. on March 30, 2018.
The transaction actually was comprised of three affiliated companies: DiGiorgio Associates Inc., DAI Inc., and Monitor Builders Inc. (MBI). The acquired companies, which specialize in the design and construction management of healthcare-focused facilities, are headquartered in Boston and share a satellite office in Portland, Maine.
LiRo’s integration with DAI and MBI expands the company's healthcare and life sciences expertise nationwide with an aim to provide complete construction, engineering, architecture, and technology services to both public and commercial clients.
John W. Weaver, President, Managing Principal, and Co-Founder of DAI, as well as Treasurer of MBI, will continue in a senior management role with LiRo. Steve H. Kovacs, MBI President and Co-Founder, will also continue in a senior management position with LiRo.
With offices in the Northeast and West Coast, The LiRo Group provides construction management, engineering, environmental, architectural, and program management solutions.
LiRo's staff serves a broad range of public and private sector clients, from villages and developers to major state agencies. LiRo's design and construction professionals are well-versed in the industry's best practices in sustainability, evolving building information modeling (BIM) technologies, and risk analysis.
Generational Equity Senior Managing Director Doug Smith’s team, led by trusted affiliate George Nova and assisted by Senior VP Ryan Johnson, successfully closed the deal. Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor Michael Lorence established the initial relationship with DiGiorgio Associates.
“From the outset these two companies seemed to be a perfect fit and as we dug deeply into due diligence, the strength of the relationship deepened and the merger was assured,” stated Nova.
