Laux Construction Acquired by Rival Holdings

We are pleased to announce the sale of our client, Laux Construction, LLC to Rival Holdings, LLC. The transaction closed on June 7, 2024.

Located in Mason, Michigan, Laux Construction (Laux) is a leading general contractor that specializes in commercial construction. In operation for over 25 years, the Company has developed a broad set of capabilities and has completed work on a variety of projects.

The Company serves the greater Lansing, Michigan area in all of its construction needs. Laux offers a number of services for each client to ensure that expectations are met and that strong relationships are built. General contracting is the main service Laux offers. Whether it be new construction, renovations, or specialized construction, the Company is able to organize a team to complete each project on time and within budget. The Company’s general contracting capabilities include estimating, project management, critical path scheduling, on-site supervision, quality control, and safety management.

The Company also offers construction management services, which consist of planning, coordinating, and monitoring a project from start to finish. Laux’s construction management capabilities include pre-construction planning, budget management, bid management, schedule management, contract management, detailed invoices, and more.

Additionally, the Company offers design and build services. Whether a client is developing a site, building a new building, or renovating an existing space, Laux’s team can effectively develop, design, and build a plan to meet the specified goals. This service allows the client to maintain one point of contact with Laux, offers minimal risk to the owner, and is more cost efficient.

Mr. Ho is a senior dealmaker in Executive Managing Director of M&A – Central Region Michael Goss’ transaction group, which serves clients primarily in the Central U.S. region.  Senior Managing Director James Carr established the initial relationship with Laux.
