The transaction closed on October 14, 2011, and was led by Managing Directors Terry Mackin, Fred Zweifel, and Assistant Vice President Kyle Coe. "GeoShack expressed an interest in our client early in the process and was determined to remain the front runner," said Generational Equity's Managing Director Terry Mackin. Midwest Architects & Engineers Supply Inc. is a family owned business which has been serving the Surveying and Engineering industry in Texas and Oklahoma for over 40 years.

Midwest is a factory authorized distributor and service center for the following: Topcon, Nikon, Sokkia, Hewlett Packard, Tripod Data Systems and Carlson. Midwest A & E Supply also possesses a surveying equipment repair facility that is one of the most complete and competent in the United States. Its repair facility is built upon nearly 200 years of combined technical experience in the repair of surveying instruments with a special expertise in electronic repair.
