Copeland Tape, LLC, an affiliate of MarTeck, acquired Generational Equity client Tape Solutions Inc. on February 14, 2017. Details were not disclosed.

Tape Solutions, located in Austin, Texas, is a wholesale distributor of adhesive tape and packaging supplies. Founded by Kim Lawrence, a.k.a. “The Tape Lady,” the company offers a wide variety of pressure-sensitive and water-activated tapes for multiple industries. Other products include plastic bags, protective packaging, stretch wrap, packing list envelopes, strapping and banding materials, as well as assorted sealing and packing tools and accessories. 

MarTeck, along with its affiliated companies, manufactures and distributes labels and various other supplies for customers in the retail industry. MarTeck President Robert Copeland was interested in growing his company, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, through acquisition with the goal of diversifying product offerings and customer base.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director Ed Weber established the relationship with Tape Solutions, and Generational Equity Managing Director Michael Goss’s team, headed by M&A Advisor Celeste Garner and supported by Generational Equity Vice President Luan Ly, successfully closed the deal.
